Pepper Cafe joined the Flemington community over 12 years ago and is known for its delicious coffee and seasonal menu. They use locally sourced, fresh ingredients in their meals which are inspired by Aussie cafe classics.
When dining at Pepper Cafe, you are visiting a place rich with Flemington history. The art deco building where the cafe now sits used to be the ‘Girdwood Hygienic Library’; a location where people would return their books to be sprayed with formaldehyde for sanitation during the Spanish Influenza era. The design of Pepper cafe has retained classic art deco features while incorporating a modern twist.
Pepper Cafe serves coffee roasted by Di Bella Roastery Melbourne and have takeaway options available at their cafe and online. Their menu features gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options to cater for all diets and preferences!

Inspired by Los Angeles food culture and the Melbourne brunch scene, Autumn Leaves was founded by two close mates with an appreciation for wholesome, flavoursome food. Autumn Leaves is committed to supporting their community; sourcing produce from local Victorian farmers, businesses and families.

There is limited street parking on Pin Oak Crescent in Flemington. We recommend taking public transport to access these wonderful cafes:
- Train: Newmarket Station on the Craigieburn line is just a 1-minute walk to Pin Oak Cres.
- Tram: Number 57 from Flinders Station, Elizabeth Street to Newmarket Plaza, walk to Pin Oak Crescent in approximately 3-minutes.
