The Flemington Chamber of Commerce is subject to a special rate and charged by Moonee Valley City Council. The purpose of the special rate and charge is to promote and support businesses and patronage within the Flemington Business Activity Precinct.
The Flemington Chamber of Commerce is required to develop a 5 year business plan, which currently exists from 2018 – 2023, the business plan helps to direct expenditure of the special rate proceeds over the five-year period.

The Flemington Chamber of Commerce (Flemington Traders Association) is an amalgam of different business types on Racecourse Rd and Pin Oak Crescent. The main aim of the association is to market these businesses to the public and encourage local residents/ visitors to the shopping strip to utilise these services. Flemington Traders Association is part of a network of Traders Associations.
