The Flemington shopping precinct runs along Racecourse Road and Pin Oak Crescent, Flemington VIC 3031 – about 5 km north-west of the Melbourne CBD.
By tram
Route 57 (West Maribyrnong – Flinders Street Station) runs along Racecourse Road, right through the precinct. Catch it from Elizabeth Street in the city.
Route 57 doesn’t currently run low-floor trams. If you use a wheelchair, pram or mobility aid, the train is the easier option.
By train
- Newmarket station (Craigieburn line) is on Pin Oak Crescent, in the middle of the precinct.
- Flemington Bridge station (Upfield line) is at the eastern end of Racecourse Road.
By car
- Customer parking is available at Newmarket Plaza, 338–390 Racecourse Road.
- Street parking is available on Racecourse Road and surrounding streets – check signs for time limits.
- Expect heavier traffic and parking restrictions on race days and during events at Flemington Racecourse and the Showgrounds.
By bike or on foot
The Moonee Ponds Creek Trail runs close to Flemington Bridge, and the precinct is an easy walk from Kensington and Ascot Vale.
