Join your community in a week of food, fun and celebration from the 15th of March as you explore the flavours of Flemington. The event will wrap up on the 20th of March for Harmony Day, where you can collect prizes and enjoy live entertainment.
Flemington is home to a diverse range of cafes and restaurants and is conveniently located just 5km from the city. Featuring Ethiopian, Somali, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines, locals can experience flavours from around the world.
Harmony Day and the weeklong Taste of Flemington event celebrates the multi-culturalism of the community and its traders. Throughout the week, you can participate in activities, visit local shops, watch performers and redeem prizes.
Here’s everything you need to know about Flemington’s Harmony Day.
Flemington Passport: Stamp Your Way to a Prize

Harmony Day: A Celebration of Diversity
After a week of exploring the flavours of Flemington, the community will join together for a final day of celebration: Harmony Day.
On this day, and every day, we celebrate diversity in our community, city, and country. Australia is a multi-cultural place, with opportunities for all. The Harmony Day events showcase local restaurants and cafes, offer people a chance to try something new, and, most importantly, bring the community together to celebrate diversity.
On Harmony Day, the Lucky Draw Prize winners will be announced, and there will be live performers across the community. With multi-cultural musical acts, henna artists, face painters, unicyclists, magicians, stilt walkers and more, Flemington will be vibrant with entertainment for the whole family. These events will occur from 12pm to 8 pm on the 20th of March.
